Maya 2019 Fedora 29

Hi everyone, I installed Maya 2019 on my Fedora 29 distro everything went good but when launching Maya trough the terminal I get a message saying this “/usr/autodesk/maya2019/bin/maya.bin: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory”.
So I installed libpng15 using “sudo dnf install libpng15” and it has been successfully installed and I can find the file at “usr/lib/” but maya still displaying the same error when I try to run it. Anyone????

  1. Hi jpcrosado,
    The library file is available in your Fedora 29 machine. But, maybe it has a different name than
    All you have to do is find what the name of this file on your system is and make a symbolic link of that file.

    Find the path of the library file with the following command:
    $ sudo find /usr/lib -name ‘libpng*’

    Then, make a symbolic link of the file with the following command:
    $ sudo ln -s /usr/lib/

    It should solve your problem.
    Let me know if it does.
